Miallo has an excellent reputation for well-behaved, respectful and friendly students. We have high expectations for the behaviour of our students at all times, whether in school or representing our school in the community at events or excursions.
Positive Behaviour for Learning [PBL] is a whole-school framework used in our school to promote positive behaviour. PBL helps us to develop a safe and supportive learning environment, build positive relationships and improve student learning outcomes. In addition to reward systems used in each class, positive reward systems used at Miallo include Student of the Week Awards, Class Conduct pennants, Exemplary Term Behaviour Awards, Rewards' Day [held on the last day of each term] and Postcards from the Principal.
Our school community has worked together to establish simple, clear and explicit expectations for behaviour, which can be found in our responsible behaviour plan.
Our three school rules are:
Be Safe – Be Respectful – Be a Learner
