Education is a partnership between the home and the school. Parents and teachers work together to ensure our children achieve the best they can be. You are your child's first teacher, and can continue to be a significant part of your child's education. Your support will make a positive difference and we encourage you to be involved in whatever capacity you can. You can assist by:
- Ensuring your child attends school everyday as Every day counts (PDF, 82KB)
- Ensuring your child has adequate sleep and nutrition and is organised for school
- Reading to your child/hearing them read regularly
- Setting aside quality time each day to talk to your child about school
- Encouraging, praising and supporting your child's learning
- Communicating with your child's teacher
- Ensuring that they have adequate time and space to complete homework
- Volunteering in your child's classroom, tuckshop or P&C
- Attending parade or assisting with excursions
